Tehillim for Tilim is a free public service that sends rocket alert notifications so people around the world can stop and say Tehillim for those in Israel. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to being transparent about how we handle your data.

When you sign up for notifications, we collect only what is necessary to send you alerts:

Name — used to personalize notification messages
Email address — if you choose email notifications
Phone number — if you choose SMS or WhatsApp notifications
Notification preferences — which channels you want to receive alerts through
Browser push token — if you enable push notifications (stored on your device and our server)

We do not collect location data, IP addresses, browsing history, or any other personal information beyond what is listed above.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your information is used for one purpose only: to send you real-time rocket alert notifications so you can say Tehillim. Specifically:

Your name is included in notification messages to personalize them
Your email is used to send alert and welcome emails via EmailJS
Your phone number is used to send SMS or WhatsApp messages via Twilio
Your push token is used to deliver browser push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging

We will never use your data for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to rocket alert notifications.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for commercial purposes. Your data is processed through the following trusted service providers solely to deliver notifications:

EmailJS — for sending email notifications
Twilio — for SMS and WhatsApp notifications
Firebase (Google) — for browser push notifications
Railway — for hosting and data storage

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and is bound by applicable data protection laws.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored on a secure server hosted by Railway. We retain your information only for as long as you remain subscribed. Once you unsubscribe, your record is deactivated. You may request complete deletion at any time (see below).

5. How to Unsubscribe and Delete Your Data

You can unsubscribe at any time using any of the following methods:

Click the unsubscribe link included in every email notification
Reply STOP to any SMS message
Visit /unsubscribe and enter your email or phone number
Email us at tehillimfortilim@gmail.com to request full deletion of your data

Upon request, we will permanently delete all personal information associated with your account within 7 days.

6. Children's Privacy

This service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
